Alex is Director and Lead Consultant of Cold Case Consultants of America. C.C.C.O.A. frequently partners with law enforcement liaisons and, when requested, provides direct support to victims’ families. Founded on the belief that no homicide is inherently unsolvable, the organization acknowledges that cases often go “cold” due to insufficient evidence, depleted leads, limited resources, or funding constraints.

Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder as a pre-teen, Alex processes information in an atypical, hyper-focused manner. Rather than retreat from this difference, he embraced it over time, developing as an autodidact polymath, logging more than 13,000 hours of privatized, self-directed study, integrating forensic science, criminal psychology, and investigative methodology to advance a comprehensive understanding of homicide investigation. 

Ed is the founder and president of Bridgery Technologies and was the co-founder and CEO of Ponte Technologies, a security and technology company that was acquired by KEYW Corporation. Ed has nearly 30 years of security experience with the National Security Agency (NSA). While at NSA, he pioneered developments in communications security, national intelligence policy and technology, and public key cryptography. Mr. Giorgio is the only person to have served as both Chief U.S. codemaker and, subsequently, as Chief U.S. codebreaker at NSA where he directly managed 1600 mathematicians and computer scientists. As a mathematician, he designed and delivered the first public key based e-mail privacy and authentication system on the worldwide intelligence network. Mr. Giorgio is considered a leading authority on cryptography where he holds patents. 

Rick had a thirty-four-year career with the Los Angeles Police Department before retiring in 2013. He is a known homicide expert, as well as a highly regarded detective with extensive expertise and success in the field of cold case homicides. Jackson has been a consultant and technical adviser for Michael Connelly, as well as for the Bosch television series. For the past eight years Rick has continued working cold case investigations with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
